Pork Souvlaki


Pork Souvlaki
Ingredients
800gr tenderloin pork
1 red onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
5 thyme sprigs
1 tablespoon dried oregano
100ml white wine
100ml white wine vinegar
100ml olive oil
Salt and Pepper

Method
1. Soak 4-5 wooden skewers in white wine and thyme sprigs. Set aside for 1-2 hours.
2. Trim pork of white membrane. Cut into bite-size chunks. Set aside in casserole dish.
3. Peel and quarter a red onion. Separate into wedges and add to pork.
4. Slice garlic and add to pork.
5. Add white wine vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper, thyme leaves and dried oregano to pork.
6. Mix well and refrigerate for up to an hour.
7. Heat griddle pan.
8. Thread pork chunks alternately with onion chunks onto skewers.
9. Cook in griddle pan, until meat is no longer pink inside.
10. Serve with tztziki sauce, pitta bread, baked chips, etc.
