Greek-style meat sauce with spaghetti
Serves 4
Ingredients
500 gr minced beef
Two finely chopped onions
2-3 crushed cloves garlic
1-2 bayleaves
2 Tablespoons tomato paste
4-6 peeled and chopped tomatoes or 400gr of tinned tomatoes
Half a teaspoon ground cinnamon
Three tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper
One cup of water
Method

Method
1. Heat the pan and sauté the meat for five minutes, shaking the pan.
2. Add the olive oil. When this is hot, add the onions, garlic and tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Add the tomato paste, diluted with one cup of water, salt, pepper, cinnamon and bay leaves and bring to the boil
4. Reduce the heat to very low and cook for 30 minutes or until meat is tender and onions and tomatoes reduced to a thick sauce.
5. Serve with spaghetti and your favourite grated cheese.
